From the forest, to your cup.

The same wild berries Finns have foraged for generations, now crushed whole into a single cup you can drink anywhere. No mixing, no measuring, no fuss.

Nordic wild berries are unlike anything in the supermarket.

Grown wild in the Arctic, they carry some of the highest polyphenol and anthocyanin concentrations measured in edible fruit.

Wild bilberry

Bilberry & the eyes

Bilberry’s deep anthocyanins are among the most researched plant pigments in Europe, with much of that work looking at circulation, the eyes and cognition.

Wild Bilberry
Sea buckthorn berry

Sea buckthorn & vitamin C

One of the Nordic region’s best-known natural sources of vitamin C, alongside carotenoids and the rare omega-7 fatty acid.

Sea Buckthorn
Wild bilberry

A dense source of anthocyanins

Wild bilberry carries up to around four times the anthocyanins of a cultivated blueberry, the pigment that colours it right through to the core.

Wild Bilberry
Lingonberry

Lingonberry & fibre

Lingonberry brings polyphenols and the natural fibre of the whole fruit: skins and seeds included, because nothing is filtered out.

Lingonberry

We crush them whole, skins, seeds and all, and seal them into a ready-to-drink cup. The simplest way we know to get wild berries into an ordinary day.

The deeper the colour, the more anthocyanin it carries.

Tap each point. The wild bilberry is the reason.

Slice a supermarket blueberry and it’s pale and watery inside. A wild bilberry is deep purple to the core, because the colour is the compound itself. That pigment is anthocyanin, one of the most studied groups of compounds in the plant world, and wild bilberry carries it from skin to centre.

Anthocyanins belong to the polyphenol family, the plant compounds behind most of the colour in dark fruit. They have been studied in nutrition research for decades, and the more intense the colour, the more of them the berry holds.

Bilberry pigments have been the subject of European research for decades, including work on memory and focus. Nordic foragers were eating them long before any of that. The colour that stains your fingers is the same compound researchers keep coming back to.

A wild bilberry sliced in half, deep red-purple to the core

Bilberry is the original ‘see in the dark’ berry: wartime pilots were said to eat bilberry jam before night flights. That story is more folklore than settled science, but it is why bilberry and eyesight have been linked in research ever since.

The same pigment that colours the flesh has been studied in relation to blood vessels and circulation. That work is ongoing rather than concluded, but it is one of the oldest questions in bilberry research.

Deep colour means dense polyphenols. Pale, cultivated fruit simply doesn’t carry the same concentration. The pigment is the whole point.

Why arctic berries are so concentrated.

1.Must survive harsh winters

The Arctic sees winters of −40°C to −50°C. To survive that cold and deep snow, the plants have to be genuinely resilient.

2.A very short ripening window

Summer is short, so the plants bloom and ripen fast, packing all of their nutrition into the berries at once.

3.They compete to survive

Growing wild means fighting off other plants and insects in a crowded environment. That pressure makes them tougher, and richer.

4.Lingonberry and sea buckthorn

Lingonberries are dense in polyphenols and quercetin. Sea buckthorn is one of the few plants carrying omega-3, 6, 9 and the rarer omega-7. Both have been studied for their place in a varied diet, and both are hard to find outside the Nordics.

5.The anthocyanin gap

Bilberries can carry up to 4× the anthocyanins of ordinary cultivated blueberries, the deep-purple pigments that have drawn more research attention than anything else in the berry.

Berries
Whole wild bilberries, crushed skins, seeds and all.
The research
One of the richest anthocyanin sources measured in edible fruit (delphinidin and cyanidin), up to ~4× ordinary blueberries. These deep-purple pigments have been linked in research to blood-vessel function, blood-sugar response and cognition. It is an active field rather than a settled one.
Why people drink it
The deepest, most concentrated cup we make. The one to start with if you want the pure thing.
Taste
Deep and winey, intensely bilberry, more tart than sweet.
Berries
Whole crushed wild bilberries with plum and added fibre.
The research
Bilberry brings the anthocyanins; plum brings sorbitol and prebiotic fibre, both of which have been studied in relation to digestion and gut bacteria. Pigment up top, fibre underneath.
Why people drink it
The one people pick when they want the fibre as well as the fruit.
Taste
Rounder and jammier than pure bilberry. The plum softens the tartness.
Berries
Crushed whole black currants and strawberries.
The research
Weight for weight, black currant carries several times the vitamin C of an orange, alongside dark delphinidin anthocyanins. Strawberry adds ellagic acid and more vitamin C again.
Why people drink it
The brightest cup in the range, and the one most people reach for first.
Taste
Bright and tangy. Sharp black currant lifted by sweet strawberry.
Berries
Crushed whole lingonberries and cranberries.
The research
A double dose of proanthocyanidins (PACs), plus quercetin and resveratrol from lingonberry. This group of compounds has been studied in connection with urinary-tract and gut health and with blood-sugar response. That research is ongoing rather than concluded.
Why people drink it
The sharpest, cleanest cup in the range.
Taste
Sharp, clean and properly tart, bracing in the best way.
Berries
Whole crushed sea buckthorn, pulp, skin and seed oil.
The research
Around 190 identified bioactive compounds, a notably high natural vitamin C content, and one of the few plants on earth carrying omega-3, 6, 9 and the rarer omega-7.
Why people drink it
Nothing else in the range looks or tastes remotely like it.
Taste
Vivid and citrus-tart with a rich, almost creamy finish.
Berries
Crushed whole wild bilberries and raspberries.
The research
Bilberry’s deep anthocyanins meet raspberry’s ellagitannins and fibre: two different polyphenol families in a single cup.
Why people drink it
The easiest to like, and the usual favourite of anyone new to the range.
Taste
The most crowd-pleasing, bright, sweet-tart, classic berry.
Availability
Sold out for the season — returning after the next cloudberry harvest. The Welcome Pack includes double Wild Bilberry in the meantime.
Berries
Crushed whole cloudberries and sea buckthorn, with added zinc.
The research
Rare arctic cloudberry carries vitamin C, ellagic acid and vitamin E; sea buckthorn brings omega-7 and carotenoids. Zinc contributes to the normal function of the immune system and to the maintenance of normal skin.
Why people drink it
The seasonal one. Golden, tart, and gone as quickly as the harvest.
Taste
Golden and tangy, tropical-tart cloudberry over rich sea buckthorn.

A Finnish family company, since 1910.

It started in 1910, and the same family runs it six generations later, still making everything in our own factory in southwest Finland.

Over these 100+ years we've made all sorts of things from Nordic berries: jams, marmalades, berry drinks. And for the last twenty years or so, nearly all of our efforts have gone into one product: Berrie.

The reason is simple. The wild berries that grow up here are some of the most concentrated fruit in the world, and almost impossible to get if you don't live in the Nordics. So we made a way to bring them to you: crushed whole, nothing removed and ready to drink.

An old company motto from the 1950s still hangs over everything we make: “Highest quality is the best advertisement.”

Any last questions?

As much whole wild berry as a drinkable cup can hold. Take our Wild Bilberry cup: it's 40% crushed whole wild bilberries (around 139 berries per cup) plus 10% bilberry juice, so roughly half of what you're drinking is real wild fruit, skins and seeds included. The rest is water, a little apple for natural sweetness, citrus fibre, lemon juice, and a small amount of potassium sorbate so it stays fresh at room temperature. No cane sugar, no artificial colours, no fillers. Dairy-free, gluten-free and vegan.

Just one, a small amount of potassium sorbate. It's one of the gentlest preservatives there is (it's derived from a compound found naturally in berries), and it's what lets us ship whole crushed berries from Finland to your door without refrigeration or freezing. The alternative would be heavy pasteurisation or a cold chain, both of which strip away more of the good stuff than a pinch of sorbate ever could. We use the minimum needed and nothing more.

Every cup in the Welcome Pack, exactly as it reads on the pack.

Wild Bilberry

Crushed whole bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus) 40% (Finland), water, sweetening apple extract, bilberry juice (10%), citrus fibre, lemon juice from concentrate, potassium sorbate.

Wild Bilberry & Plum

Water, crushed whole bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus) 25% (Finland), apple juice, plum purée 15% (Serbia), sweetening apple extract, maltodextrin (fibre, Fibersol®-2), lemon juice, citrus fibre, potassium sorbate.

Black Currant & Strawberry

Crushed whole blackcurrant 20% (Finland, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland), blackcurrant juice 20%, crushed whole strawberry 15% (Finland, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania), water, sweetening apple extract, citrus fibre, potassium sorbate.

Lingonberry & Cranberry

Water, crushed whole lingonberry 24% (Finland), grape juice, crushed whole cranberry 11%, sweetening apple extract, citrus fibre, potassium sorbate.

Sea Buckthorn

Water, crushed whole sea buckthorn 30% (Finland, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland), sweetening apple extract, apple purée 7%, citrus fibre, potassium sorbate as preservative.

Wild Bilberry & Raspberry

Water, crushed whole bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus) 25% (Finland), crushed whole raspberry 20% (Finland, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania), apple purée, sweetening apple extract, citrus fibre, potassium sorbate.

The three ingredients people ask about
Sweetening apple extract

Concentrated apple, used in small amounts to take the edge off berries that are genuinely sharp. Wild lingonberry and bilberry are difficult to drink daily without it. It is fruit doing the sweetening rather than cane sugar or a sweetener, though it is still a sugar source, which is why you won’t see us claim “no added sugar” anywhere on this page.

Potassium sorbate

The only additive in the product. It is one of the most widely approved preservatives in the world, based on sorbic acid, a fatty acid that occurs naturally in fruit such as rowanberries. Without it a cup wouldn’t keep for months at room temperature: the alternatives are heavy heat treatment or a cold chain, and both cost more of the fruit than a pinch of sorbate does. Your body breaks it down the way it breaks down any other fatty acid.

Citrus fibre

Exactly what it sounds like: fibre milled from citrus peel. It keeps the crushed berry evenly suspended instead of settling to the bottom of the cup, and it is dietary fibre in its own right, the same kind you get from the peel and pith of the fruit.

Cloudberry & Sea Buckthorn is out of season; its details return with the next harvest. All six are dairy-free, gluten-free and vegan.

Sugars are the fruit’s own, plus the sweetening apple extract. Nothing is added for sweetness beyond fruit.

Wild berries carry their own fruit sugars, and we add a little apple extract to round out the tartness. Without it, most people find wild Nordic berries too sharp to drink daily. That’s the sweetness you taste, the same way a ripe berry tastes sweet straight off the bush: no cane sugar, no syrups, no sweeteners and nothing artificial.

No, and the difference is the whole point. Juice is pressed and filtered, which throws away the skins, seeds and pulp, exactly where most of the polyphenols and fibre live. We crush the whole berry and keep all of it, so you're drinking the entire fruit, not just the watery part of it. Most berry "juices" are also made from concentrate, watered back down and sweetened. We don't do any of that. What's in the cup is real wild berry, crushed and sealed.

No, it's fully shelf-stable. Keep the cups in the cupboard, your bag, your desk drawer, wherever. Once you've opened a pouch or box, just keep it in the fridge and it'll stay good for about a month. That's the whole point: real berries without the freezer.

Everything is made and packed in our own factory in southwest Finland and ships from there to anywhere in the EU. Shipping on the Welcome Pack is included in the price. This is whole crushed berry rather than a powder, so it is real liquid weight and genuinely expensive to move. We would rather build that into the pack than surprise you at checkout.

The number printed on each cup tells you roughly how many whole berries went into it. A Wild Bilberry cup, for example, holds the equivalent of around 139 wild bilberries, crushed whole, skins, seeds and all.

30-Day Taste Guarantee. If you're not happy with your first Welcome Pack, contact us within 30 days of delivery and we'll refund the product cost, no need to send anything back. One guarantee per customer, on your first order. We just ask that you've genuinely given it a try. This sits on top of your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal under EU consumer law.
